Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) serves George, Harrison, and Jackson Counties. LIHEAP assists households with low incomes in meeting their immediate home energy needs. The Program helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs.
Community Action of South Mississippi provides federally funded assistance in managing costs associated with home energy bills, energy crises, weatherization, and energy-related minor home repairs.
LIHEAP can help you stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer through programs that reduce the risk of health and safety problems that arise from unsafe heating and cooling practices.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get legal aid from some offices, they use a sliding fee scale. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
